The Great Outdoors of Ohio

Memorial Day weekend (Saturday) we went down to Mohican State Park, which is just about 30 minutes south of where we live in Ashland.  Beautiful!  Everything was so green, and the weather was perfect.  We did a short hike from the covered bridge to the dam and back.

Mommy and Daddy geese escorting their little one, so cute!

James and Miles at the Memorial Day Parade in Ashland.  Love these two!  Miles was such a good flag-holder, and James was such a good wiggly toddler-holder!

Yesterday we went down to the Wilderness Center near Wilmot, Ohio, one of the places James grew up.  It was also gorgeous there, but we wish we would have remembered our bug spray.  We won't forget next time!  Miles has 5 or 6 bites on his poor head and was probably wondering why we kept smacking him on the face!

We saw some frogs and tadpoles and a ton of different kinds of birds, some raccoons, squirrels and chipmunks.

I do push the stroller sometimes...

Miles was a little more into the puzzles and toys they had inside after the mosquito attack.
