Girl's Camp 2011

We went to Timberline Campground near Kenosha Pass off 285.  The weather was beautiful, cold at night and in the morning, and cool during the day.  We didn't see any bears, raccoons, or very much wildlife at all.  The coolest thing I saw was a mama moose and a baby moose one morning when I was running.  We have an awesome Stake and they did a great job.  It was a great week!

Challenges
No running water or electricity
No trash receptacles meant mess kits and washing lots of dishes
Rain threatened a couple times
High altitude

Perks
BEAUTIFUL hikes
A zip line
I learned how to chop wood effectively
Having no indoors meant we couldn't all smell each other even though we hadn't had showers
AWESOME campfires
AWESOME testimony meeting
Our girls love each other!
I slept good all week!

Ohio 2011

A couple weeks ago, James and I drove to Ohio to see his family and celebrate his younger brother Rob's graduation.  Some highlights of the trip were Rob's graduation party, Cooper meeting his cousin, Drew, and going to Cedar Point, a theme park in Ohio with some HUGE roller coasters.

Travis, Rob and Grandma Ruth

Aunt Peg and Uncle John

DeLoe and Marta (James' mom and stepdad)

On the way to Cedar Point

It was a little...cottony...not very fun when you're wearing a lot of sticky sunscreen and sweating.

Waiting for the train

(thinking)  "Why does my wife insist on taking so many pictures?!"

In line for the Corkscrew

My favorite rides were the Magnum, Millenium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.

James took me to this beautiful park on our way home from Cedar Point.  It was just almost sunset and really beautiful.

The sunset near Green Springs, where James lived when he was in high school.
